Chilled Out Weekend With Family & Friends August 09

The weekend offered us a chilled out time with friends and family. We had a house full at the weekend, as our friends came to Wales from Liverpool. We all firstly had an afternoon walk around the local countryside.
On Saturday evening we all went out for a meal at the Highway Man in Oswestry. This public house offers great meals at good prices. Nana and Aaron came along too, Aaron surprised me by polishing off a huge plate of Tikka Curry and Rice. He also had toffee apple wedges and syrup for afters.
Nana decided to come home as she wanted to watch the Saturday night programs. All then boys and I all went on to the Sun Hotel in Llanstanffriad. Here we all settled down to play pool. Gaynor my friend had joined us by this time.
We all played games of pool. Aaron did very well and had many games against most of us. The boys teach him well. Everyone thinks Aaron is an excellent player for his 10 yrs. He can set the balls up himself, knows the rules and can play with little help from his peeress.
The Sun Inn is a very family orientated pub which welcomes children into the fold. It also shows Aaron you don't have to get drunk to have a nice night out which many young men do these days. It shows Aaron its a good place to have a social life and play mini tournaments with your friends.
As it got near 10pm it was time for Aaron to head home for bed. We all came back home. Aaron stayed with his Nana whilst we went to our local across the road. The Penybont Inn, here we had a couple of drinks and chatted to out neighbours and friends.
As time went on we all headed for the short walk home, as it was up early and out for the morning as everyone was keen to visit the car boots.
Sunday the boys came around the car boots before settling down to lunch and an afternoon watching the football on sky. Most of them spend the afternoon snoring which gave both Aaron and I a laugh.
Soon it was time for them to leave and head back to Liverpool for work the next day. It was a lovely weekend which we all really enjoyed.
