Ten Pin Bowling

Early morning we headed to a birthday party day out. First stop was the Venue @ Park Hall near Oswestry. Here a group of use enjoyed playing a game of ten pin bowling. The children had one lane whist the adults played on another.
It has been a while since we have played but we got into the swing of things quite quickly. Both Simon and I had a lovely time.
Aaron played with the younger children doing well in the first round without using the side bars.
After the game we all headed off to the Miners Arms in Morda were the party continued. He a lovely yummy buffet was laid out. The children again enjoyed playing games of pool.
Later in the afternoon we headed off to visit some of Simon`s children. Calling in on 3 of them we also discussed plans for alteration to our house. Which I am looking forward to, this house is going to look fantastic when the work is done.
Coming home we settled in front of the TV chilling out it had been a long day.

Our Buzzard - Scary Sunset Tanant Valley

This beautiful bird has been a regular visitor lately to our home. He is a buzzard, he sits on the fence posts or the gate and watches what is happening around our home ( or eyeing up poor Jimmney Jingle our miniture stallion for lunch LOL )

Below - The photographs below are of a recent sunset over the valley. The sky`s were alight with reds and pinks. It was a wonderful sight but quite scary at the same time.

New Year 2010

After a tragic new year`s eve in 2007 were we watched our beloved 10 yr old Daniel fall asleep forever I was dreading this years new year`s eve. Simon was due to attend The Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham for the results of his recent tests. These results were between life and death for Simon.
As we drove memories of that day in 2007 flooded back to me was I going to live through another tragic new year.
Reaching the hospital we sat waiting for the doctor. Walking in we noticed no other staff around just the consultant. Breathing heavily we sat and listened a the doctor began to speak.
Simon has a rare tumor 5 people diagnosed in 100,00. 2% out of every hundred people. We learnt it not an aggressive cancer but a slowly growing one. If Simon had the one that is most popular pancreatic cancer tumor like Patrick Sawzy then his life would have been over due to the size of the tumor it would have been in operable. He would have died eventually.
But due the the type of cancer Simon has they are going to operate and hopefully remove it all. It is major surgery but we are all praying he will recover.
It is a big relief now both Simon and I can look forward to our future which will be full of happiness. We both wish we had meet years ago, so we have got a lot of catching up to do to make up for all the lost years we both have spent unhappy.
Watch this space guys.
On returning home New Years Eve Simon and I went out for a romantic meal together to celebrate the good news. Thank you Scott for making that happen. Later we came back home to pick up Aaron before heading to the Green to meet up with friends. We spent the evening playing darts, with the kids on the wii and chatting away. It was good fun. Everyone was so please at our good news.
We came back before midnight to the Penybont Inn but the pub was very packed, I wasn't happy with Aaron being in there, so we headed back to the Green.
It was here we saw the clock strike midnight bringing in the year 2011. We all had party poppers to let off at midnight. Watching Big Ben strike midnight on the big screen.
After saying our Happy New Years and receiving them we headed home for bed all fairly shattered but for once a smile on New Years Eve.
Simon has a tough time ahead but I will be by his side throughout and I am sure he will get through this to live a happy life and live it to the full like I do.
New Years day was time to relax, we took the dogs for a walk to the woods. Here we collected some sticks for our open fire. We spent the rest of the day chilling out watching TV in each others arms.
I am looking forward to 2011 after Simon has had his operation and he is on the road to recovery. The rest of the year is going to be fun fun and more fun roll on 2011. A life changing year for us all.
