Taymouth Castle Walk

Heading from the square at the centre of Kenmore you pass through the medieval archway on your journey towards Taymouth Castle.
Turning right along the path is the start of your circular walk to the castle and then back again this time following the river banks along the River Tay.
The driveway to the castle is fairly flat offering you the chance of seeing a red squirrel. Sadly they were not bout today. We walked around a mile before the castle came into view.
Reaching the castle we found it a bit eerie. It was like stepping back in time. The castle has closed down. All the fixture fittings furniture lay inside. Even umbrella's  and wellington boots are placed upside down on their stands. The castle seems to have just be abandoned.
Why no one seems to no.
Walking back we headed down the path along the riverbank. We stopped and started taking photographs of the birds, river, ducks and views along the way. We took some of ducks some where baby ones and birds along the way.
The walk is described as short with a distance of approx 2 3/4 miles. It is said to take 1 - 2 hours to walk. A very pretty walk with the main attraction being a big ghostly mansion / castle  that is ever so spooky. Well worth walking to if your in or around Kenmore.
