Parkgate Marsh Oct 08 A Boy & His Dog

Off we trotted to the Wirral taking our new car for a run. It was a cold snowy day. During the previous evening we had near 4" of snow.
After picking up Aaron`s great Aunt Murial we headed to Callum`s, Daniel`s & Aaron`s Grandads grave to put some flowers on. It is a sad place to be the ground was soggy under foot.
After our visit to the cemetery we headed to Roden Park to take Fred our dog for a walk. We walked around the Park Fred had a really good run.
Our next stop was Parkgate were we parked up at the Quay pub for lunch.

We all enjoyed our it Aaron especially.
Afterwards Aaron and I took Fred the dog for another walk along the marsh. It was bitterly cold.

A huge herring came flying in and landed in a nest amongst the reeds. We stayed and observed for a while, it was fascinating to watch. The views from Parkgate are lovely you can look over the River Dee to North Wales. After our walk we headed back to the car to meet up with Aaron`s Gran Dot and Great Aunt Murial.

It was getting late so we dropped Aunt Murial off and headed home up the motorway.
