Mary Ardlen`s Farm - Little Bit Of Shakesphere

There is much ado at the working farm of Shakespeare `s mother Mary Arden. You can encounter the sights, sounds and smells of the busy working Tudor farm. There are Tudor costumed residents who invite you to earn your keep and help with the everyday running of the farm. The pay shocked the 3 teenage boys we took with us threepence a day if they were lucky. The farm shows traditional rural skills such as threshing, winnowing, open hearth cooking, baking bread, woodcutting, and caring for the animals. This farm surely was a breath of fresh air. There was so much to explore we all enjoyed taking in the sights and the sounds of this beautiful Tudor farm. The photographs below show the journey we took around the farm.
