Welcome to the Emerald Island, beautiful Ireland. Leaving early in the morning we headed to Holyhead crossing the Irish Sea on the fast ferry. Reaching Dun Laoghaire, we headed west towards Kildare across Ireland towards County Clare . We headed through towns and villages towards the west coast of Ireland. Through Portlaoise, Birr, Portumna and Scarriff. Our Destination was a Dangan Lodge near the small village of Tulla.
Driving the car was like driving through many different parts of Wales with the large lakes, green fields, mountains and hills. Very beautiful just like my home. I really enjoyed the driving, soon getting used to the different road signs and kilometres not miles per hour. The car went great.
Dangan Lodge was lovely with bulls in the back field this little cottage was in such pretty surroundings. The cottage at the rear was facing west, this gave us such wonderful views of the evening sunset as you can see. We were going to have a lovely time here in Ireland as you will see.
