Graveyard Tale

One dark cold night when the full moon shone but was covered with low cloud making it very dark outside without the moon to light the way.
Two guys were walking home after a party, not very drunk but a little merry. It was past midnight. The two men decided to take a short cut through the graveyard.
The graveyard was rather big with an old chapel at the centre. Graves were all around from old to new. Lettering etched upon the stones, statues looked as if they had come to life upon the back drop of the night sky.
When they got to the centre of the graveyard they were startled and stopped moving. They could here a noise. It was such a dark cold night they froze with fear. What could it be?  Nobody should be here this time of night and neither should we.
The terrifying noise was getting louder and louder, a  "TAP TAP TAP"  coming from the shadows.
Trembling with fear they spotted an old man with a hammer and chisel, chipping away at one of the headstones. Dressed in a old fashioned night gown with a wee willy winkle hat. The old man had to be in his eighties at least. The two guys thought for a minute or two wondering which old people`s home the poor old man had come from. Had not anyone seen him leave the home ? Why had they not tried to stop him.
"Holy Cow Mister," one of them said after catching their breath. "You Scared us half to death. We thought you were a ghost!"  "What are you doing working here this late a night?"
Looking back at the two guys with dark eyes before turning back to the grave stone to carry on chipping away the old man replied  "Those Fools, those silly fools, they have miss spelt my my name, I am fixing the problem.
With mouths wide open the two guys ran and ran and did not look back. Through the gates at the other side of the graveyard they stopped again to take a breath. Had they just seen a ghost?
