Montacute House Nr Yeovil

Montacute house is a magnificent Elizabethan house surrounded by stunning formal garden, and set with 300 acres of parkland offering wonderful walking oppertunities.
It was built between 1588 and 1601 by Sir Edward Phelips. It was the home of the Phelips family for over 300 yrs.
The house is now owned by the national trust.

It was a very enjoyable day out. At present the trust are doing a swing thing in certain areas. We we lucky enough to come across this at Montacute House. We followed around the swing trail which was ever so exciting. There were four different styles as you can see from the photo`s below.
The house was beautiful and it is so good that the national trust have now relaxed there photographis issues and bloggers like myself can portrait the true beauty of these places the trust owns.
