Dyfi Osprey Project Montgomeryshire

Heading back to Machynlleth we came across the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust Osprey Project.

Here we were lucky enough to see the nest of the Osprey having laid one egg earlier in the week the female bird had just laid a second. Everyone there was over the moon.

We watched on a huge screen the video of her laying the second egg. We also went up to the hide were the birds were being monitored constantly and gazed through the telescope at the birds. The female was sitting on the eggs and the male was perched in a near by branch.

It was wonderful to have seen first hand the first breeding pair of Osprey in Wales for many years.
