Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant Carnival

One minute it was warm next it was cold what were we to do except enjoy this lovely village afternoon event. Luckily the weather stayed dry.

After being poorly all week with my bones. I managed to walk through the village of Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant to proudly watch my wonderful boy Aaron parade with the scouts. Aaron has been in the scouts for many years and loves it. He has worked hard to earn some of the badges he has. We watched form the pavement as the parade marched through the village, following behind as the end of the parade past.

Walking slowly we wandered onto the playing fields, looking behind I was surprised to see old friends John and Michelle and their children along with there huge St Bernard dog all dressed up for the day. We had a brief catch up before heading separate ways to look around and for us to find Aaron.

He had been up in Llanrhaeadr most of the day setting up for the carnival along with his friends from High School.

We had a drink, Simon had a well earned beer something he doesn't often do but he is allowed the odd one after his massive operation to remove tumors form his pancreas, liver and surrounding areas.

After a while the standing was again taking its toll on my knees, back and hips so we decided to head home to watch the match between Manchester Utd and Barcelona. What a game that was. All in all a lovely day out at a local village event.
