Parkgate Wirral - The Three Nannies

Simon and I were very brave recently. We took the 3 Nannie`s out for lunch. Heading down the Wirral we picked up Aunty Murial and headed up to Parkgate. Stopping off at The Quay public house.
The Quay is a lovely pub which does a great carvery.
Below Pictures of the 3 Nannie`s.

Parkgate is a pretty place standing on the banks of the River Dee. The River is quite far out leaving room for the mass of reeds and bog swamp land which is filled with wildlife. The area is wildlife protected.
On a good day you can see for miles looking across the reeds towards the Dee you can see the hills just off the of Wales.
Whilst the Nannies were finishing off their lunch, Simon, Aaron and I headed off for a stroll along the front. We looked out for Herons and Cranes that nest amongst the reed. We saw a couple of them in the distance.
Parkgate is recommended not forgetting the nice fish and chip shop and the ice cream shop, well worth a visit.
