Okapi & Giraffes @ Chester Zoo January 2018

Okapi & Giraffes.  The Okapi is one of my favourite animals at the zoo. This gorgeous  creatures is just adorable 

The okapi, also known as the forest giraffe or zebra giraffe, is an artiodactyl mammal native to the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Central Africa. Wikipedia

Scientific name: Okapia johnstoni

Height: 1.5 – 1.7 m (At Shoulder)

Mass: 200 – 350 kg

Class: Mammalia

The Okapi is defiantly a must see at the zoo   along with the Giraffes. 

again these are defiantly a favourite they wander about like huge gentle giants such a wonderful sight.
