Recently we were lucky enough to stay at this beautiful hotel in Wychnor which is near Lichfield Staffordshire. The hotel dates back 100`s of years. Part of the inside is set out to reflect these times.
At the hotel we went swimming, in the jacuzzi, used the steam room and the sauna. Aaron and I also had a couple of games of tennis.  The meals were quite cheap in the bar menu, but the restaurant was quite expensive and I found there was not much for your money upon your plate. The restaurant meal was complimentary so thankfully we did not have to pay.
In between  are outward bound visits the hotel was a lovely place to relax. I actually read the second fifty shades book darker whilst I was there to the relief of my friend Helen who has been eager to get her hands on book number two for a while.
The evening entertainment was good, we entered a quiz as a team, played bingo, poker which was great fun (Simon won a bottle of bubbly). There was also a cabaret which was 50,s 60,s songs one of my favourite  era`s in music.
All in all this was a lovely place to stay, ideal for bikes and walking because it was quite flat. About 2 mile away was the canal tow path were you could if you wanted walk or cycle for miles. The hotel was set out in the wide open countryside surrounded by a golf course and farmers field`s the river flowed through a short distance away. A very pretty place with an A* for chill factor.

The history of Wychnor  can be seen on my other blog @ www.lesleyscoffeestop.blogspot.com
