There is much ado at Anne Hathaway`s cottage. Anne Hathaway`s cottage is the most romantic of the five Shakespeare houses. The cottage is in a beautiful setting. This stunning cottage has a beautiful part wild flower garden, traditional orchards, sculpture trail and a woodland walk. The cottage was the family home of William Shakespeare`s wife Anne Hathaway. Young Shakespeare courted Anne here before they married.
The house has welcomed visitors since before the nineteenth century including prominent writers such as Alfred Tennyson and Charles Dickens. Not a place for teenage boys but very much a place for romantic lovers. The photographs below tell the story.
