Redwings Horse Sanctuary Aug 09
During our time in Norfolk we were lucky enough to visit Redwings Horse Sanctuary. The visitor centre in the Norfolk area is at Caldecott Hall in Fritton. Redwings have rescued many horses over the past 25 yrs. Previously we have adopted Samson the little grey above which came to the centre after having Strangled a few years previous.
The centre was lovely to walk around we had a lovely time wandering the acres of land. Some of the stories are heartbreaking to read and had us nearly in tears.
Redwings also has an adventure playground and lovely western style cafe. The site is also free to enter. Well worth a visit.

Southport Shopping Trip August 09
Meeting up on a warm clammy day on the sea front, with Billy`s mum, sister and Dylan, we all firstly had a spot of lunch.
Next we headed into Southport town centre for a shopping trip. We all bought some really nice things. We stopped for a cup of tea half way through in a cafe.
After finishing our shopping it was time to head to Billy`s mums house for our tea before leaving for home.
Southport was a another great day out and a great place do do some shopping.
Shame these people totally let Aaron down completely by blaming Aaron for Dylan's jealous tantrums and the nervous breakdown of a 48 yr old man. Very sad indeed. Yet again we met Bully`s and deceitful people who blame a child for there own faults and not being able to cope with everyday life.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. Aaron will always be NO 1 in my life.
Chilled Out Weekend With Family & Friends August 09
The weekend offered us a chilled out time with friends and family. We had a house full at the weekend, as our friends came to Wales from Liverpool. We all firstly had an afternoon walk around the local countryside.
On Saturday evening we all went out for a meal at the Highway Man in Oswestry. This public house offers great meals at good prices. Nana and Aaron came along too, Aaron surprised me by polishing off a huge plate of Tikka Curry and Rice. He also had toffee apple wedges and syrup for afters.
Nana decided to come home as she wanted to watch the Saturday night programs. All then boys and I all went on to the Sun Hotel in Llanstanffriad. Here we all settled down to play pool. Gaynor my friend had joined us by this time.
We all played games of pool. Aaron did very well and had many games against most of us. The boys teach him well. Everyone thinks Aaron is an excellent player for his 10 yrs. He can set the balls up himself, knows the rules and can play with little help from his peeress.
The Sun Inn is a very family orientated pub which welcomes children into the fold. It also shows Aaron you don't have to get drunk to have a nice night out which many young men do these days. It shows Aaron its a good place to have a social life and play mini tournaments with your friends.
As it got near 10pm it was time for Aaron to head home for bed. We all came back home. Aaron stayed with his Nana whilst we went to our local across the road. The Penybont Inn, here we had a couple of drinks and chatted to out neighbours and friends.
As time went on we all headed for the short walk home, as it was up early and out for the morning as everyone was keen to visit the car boots.
Sunday the boys came around the car boots before settling down to lunch and an afternoon watching the football on sky. Most of them spend the afternoon snoring which gave both Aaron and I a laugh.
Soon it was time for them to leave and head back to Liverpool for work the next day. It was a lovely weekend which we all really enjoyed.

Chester Zoo Aug 09
What a fabulous day out we had at Chester Zoo. We have visited the zoo many times over the years. Both Daniel and Aaron visited the zoo at least once a year since the they were born. We have many photographs of the good times Daniel had at the zoo. He used to go around mainly on his bicycle. The zoo is one of our favourite places. Chester is a charity so the entrance money helps the animals around the zoo. Nana came with us also and had a great time.
After visits to the elephants, monkeys and bat cave. We stopped for a packed lunch we had made before leaving home.
Next we headed around the paddocks. We visited the spectacled Bear, Tapia, Zebra`s, Oryx, Ostriches, Przewalski`s Horse and the Rhino. ( pictured below )
This was a beautiful site a black rhino with her baby.

Next stop was the Butterfly Journey. This is a new attraction. It was fantastic up and close to many species of butterfly and moths. We spent a lot of time in here looking at these beautiful creatures. One landed on Nana`s head. We took some wonderful photographs.
Heading on our journey around the zoo. Next was the tropical house. Here we studied reptiles, spiders and crocodiles. Moving on we visited the Giraffes and the Okapi ( one of our favourite creature )

We also visited the sealions. Next stop was the ark restaurant, here we had some dinner and a well earned drink. Aaron also had a play in the play ground and we also caught a glimpse of the African tribal display.
Moving on we decided to visit the big cats. First the tigers and the lion`s. Next we headed to Spirit of the Jaguar, Here we got a close up view of the Jaguar`s and the black Puma. We also enjoyed watching the ant colony doing there hard work. This is a fascinating display.
Aaron also had a great time with the interactive displays around the zoo. Below pretending to be a large tortoise.
Heading on we watched the camels, Onagers and the New Cheetah display. Next we headed over the Bats Bridge.
Before heading home Aaron had a go on the Monkey bars and went all the way across. Well done not bad for our own little monkey. We all had a great day at the zoo. Nana also now has a new lease of life with her scooter as you can see she really enjoyed herself today not bad for a lady nearly 80 yrs old.
We stopped off for a while to watch the greater horned Rhino and the Deer. The deer were lovely elegant creature. Nana really enjoyed watching these.
