Baby Callum ..... 21 years Old Today 16/03/17

Daffodils

I wandered lonely as a cloud,
That floats on high o`ver vales and hills.
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils,
Besides the lake, beneath the trees
Flattering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never - ending line
Along the margin of a bay
Ten thousand saw I at a glance
Tossing their heads in
sprightly dance.

The waves besides them danced, but they
Outdid the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such ajownd  company:
I gazed and gazed -
but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought.

For oft when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon the inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils.

poem by W Wordsworth.

My little daffodil,

Not a day goes by that I do not think of you. 21 years ago today I touch your still warm hand but you had gained your Angel wings. Two little boys in heaven, lost but not forgotten. I often wonder what should have been but sadly you where taken away my angel baby.  I love you more than words can say and always will.

Hunt for the Wilder People : Film Review

A big warm hug of a film.....

Hunt for the Wilder People is a film that is rather different.

Raised on hip hop and foster care, defiant city kid Ricky played by Julian Dennison gets a fresh start in the New Zealand countyside. He quickly finds himself at home with his new foster family, the loving Aunty Belle and the grumpy Uncle Hec played by Sam Neill and dog Tupac.
When tragedy strikes that threatens to ship Ricky to another home, both he and Hec go on the run in the bush.

As a national manhunt ensues the newly branded outlaws must assess their options either go out in a blaze of glory of overcome their differences and survive as a family.

This is a really funny film in parts. But being a veggie I disliked the killing of animals. It was only a film though .....

I would give this film 7 out of 10. It is worth watching. Its certificate 12. On for 97 minutes.

GOOD NIGHT CRUELLA ( SOOTY )

Today the 30/09/16  we lost our lovely old puss.
Nicknamed Cruella real name Sooty.
She had a long full life for a cat 16 years old.
Cruel died in my arms early this morning. She ate some of her breakfast and then just laid down, she was gone within minutes.
She was a cat with lots of character, you could never mess with Cruella she ruled the house with an iron rod. She was undoubtedly the boss. All our other little kitty cats no there is something wrong.
As she was laid to rest next to Fred our cocker spaniel some of them came over to observe. Animals always know.
Bless our old girl as she passes over rainbow bridge to join her friends and family up in heaven.

GOOD NIGHT GOD BLESS

Mold Food Festival September 201I

Wow it has been a while since I have had time to blog  much has happened since then. With winter coming I am hoping to have more time to catch up with my blogs.  I look forward to sharing some fantastic times over this last summer with you all.  Lets face it, it has been a blast.
This blog is all about Mold Food Festival which took place on 17 + 18 of September 2016.

Well guess what I won these tickets, she types with a smile.

The festival on entering I first thought was quite small, but hay ho as we wandered around it seemed to just get bigger and bigger. This was quite surprising it was on a little car park, it was a bit like entering Dr Who`s Tardis.

Being a vegetarian with attitude is was a little difficult finding the tip bits for sampling, but the boys had a whale of a time tucking in to all-sorts of food from all over the world. It wasn't long before I found the yummy bits I liked.  Chocolate, I was in heaven.

It was a fabulous few hours out and about. The food was amazing along with the drinks. Many a fruit / veg juice drink mix, you would never think of putting together. The food was displayed so very well.

There was lots to see and do there. Celebrity chefs, local demonstrations, an interactive zone and a cookery theatre.

There was also a music stage, we did sit down whilst eating lunch listening to Jim Bazley playing his guitar. We really enjoyed his set. The rest of the time we wandered around with the music playing in the background.

Thinking about my favourite stalls, well overall they where all good. The ones that tended to stand out to me where the cheese and pickle stalls. There was every cheese you could think of mixed with many a delight to tang with your taste buds. The raspberry lemonade was also nice and of course the chocolate.

Thank you Mold food festival for a lovely time and of course the Wrexham Leader for picking me out as the winner of the family ticket.  One happy winner.

Daniels 19th Birthday

Daniel would have been 19 years old today the 23rd of April 2016.
The date is aldo quite significant this year as you share it eith the 400 yr anniversary of William Shakespeare's death. Stratford upon Avon have put on a fabulous event to mark the 400 years.
I often wonder what you would be like now at the age of 19 its hard knowing that we will never know.
Your grave today the place where your weary body now lays is filled with fresh flowers and little trinkets that you loved wilst alive.
I have comfort in knowing the last few years of your life where happy. We visited many places in such a short time and gained lots of lovely memories once we werent held back any longer.
I always think about you when the planes take off  how you loved to fly. You visited quite a few places in the last couple of years of your life. Lapland, Disney and Greece  such special times.
This years to mark your birthday we have sponsered a little pony that was drawn to me a pony called Didget. He is a pony that  was rescued from a stable fire, he was born the same year as you and is called Didget. A strange name considering you my boy where born with 6 fingers and 6 toes.
I know Daniel I can live in peace knowing I did everything in my power to see you had a good life dispite the life being very sort. You missed out on nothing even conquering Mount Snowdon.
Sleep well little man although I doubt you will be doing that sure the heavens will be rocking to night for yiur 19th  birthday party,

Ps  keeo those little signs coming I no your watching over us.
