Baby Will`s Christening May 09

Today was the Christening of baby Will pictured above with his dad Martin. ( Billy`s Cousin )

After visiting the car boots in Burscough and Lydiate. We headed for the church in Liverpool. The service was short and sweet. Afterwards we headed through Liverpool out towards Thornton for a family party to celebrate the baptism of Baby Will.

The entertainment for the party was again Mr Stix, pictured above and below with his side kick partner Peanut. The kids love him. Mr stix has a disability but dispite his disability he puts on a great show. Ballon making, magic tricks, circus trick and a disco with party dances. He also had the adults playing games. Gillian Billy`s other cousin pictured below with her baby Owen won the biggest gob competition. The competition was to see which mum could shove as many marsh mellows in there mouths as possible but still being able to say chubby bunnies. It was good fun and they were all good sports.

There was a lovely buffet, and a special buffet for the children which included a chocolate fountain. Aaron enjoyed watching the show popping in and out no and then to see the score for the football. his beloved Liverpool F C were playing West Brom on the huge sky Tv screen in the next room. Again both boys had a great day playing together. They were also joined today by other boys related to the family.

Here is a link to the web site of Mr Stix. He also entertains at Pontins Holiday camp.

The party went well but time passed so quickly it wasn't long before we were heading home to Wales. Aaron received a big hug and kiss from his Auntie Lorraine and Nannie T. before we left. Another fab weekend.

Reaching Splash World they became very excited. Splash world is a huge swimming complex with huge slides that even go outside the building.

Aaron and Dillion had a fantastic time running under buckets that tipped when filled with water causing a huge wave of water.

There we also water guns that you could fire, a Jacuzzi, rapid ride. water shuts, showers and of course the huge water slides.

They were in there for hours, it was very warm inside so they were both very hungry and thirsty when they came out. After wards we head to The Bay Horse carvery in Formby for our tea.

Naked Men Crosby Beach

During the evening we headed over to Crosby beach. We walked onto the beach to look at the naked iron men that stand in the sea.

The tide was coming infast so we couldn`t walk right to them. The boys enjoyed playing in the sand for a while and on the nearby rocks.
We took in the views of the Wirral and North Wales. Crosby beach has far reaching views of the coast line of the Wirral and Wales. Soon it was time to head back to Billy`s mum`s. Dillion decided he wanted to stay with us for the night. So we all settled down with a cup of tea and watched Britain`s Got Talent. the boys love this show. Aaron also entertained us with his impressions having us all in stitches.

Above a lovely photograph of Aaron with the sun setting over the sea Crosby beach Liverpool.

Congratulations Aaron.
Recently Aaron entered a competition during a Kids Club session along with some of the other children in the club.

I am proud to say he was one of the finalists who had his creation of the toy he created published in the Toytastic book.

WELL DONE AARON

By Aaron - my creation is a robot that turns into a bike with a bin, a cooker, has a light, its Eco friendly and runs on carbon dioxide, methane, carbon monoxide and can save the environment by turning the rubbish into energy. The robot also has a hoover, a scanner to help it identify objects and it has a radar to help it find it way about. It also has little pellets that the left of rubbish is turned into besides the gases stated above. It can speak by the scanner converting languages including animals and alien and convert the language into English.

Ty Mawr Country Park With Fred May 09

Monday after school saw us heading off to Llangollen for our 6 monthly dental check up. We both passed with flying colours.

Aaron`s teeth are in great condition as he looks after his teeth extremely well. Most children his age have the odd fillings but not our Aaron his teeth are perfect. I am very pleased with him looking after his teeth so well.

After our visit we headed off to Ty Mawr country park to take Fred for a walk. the three of us plus the dog headed off around the park today taking the viaduct path out along the river bank into the open countryside. We walked for some time before heading back onto the circular walk which is the main walk around the park.

We all had a lovely tea time stroll Fred had an even better one jumping in and out of the river. We also visited all the animals at the park before we left.
more pictures available on our on line photo albums and below a web link for info on the park.

Christening In Liverpool May 09

We headed out to Liverpool bright and early for a christening. Billy`s Cousin Gillian was having her two children christened today Yuan 5 & Owen a few months old.

Gillian, Billy`s cousin is a very nice lady and very friendly we get on really well. All of Billy`s family have excepted both Aaron and I into the fold with open arms. They are a well known family throughout Liverpool.

We attended the service at the church which was lovely. Aaron received a blessing and was given communion by the vicar. the children were well behaved as they were christened.

After the service we headed for a party. Here we all had great fun. By this time we had met up with Billy`s family.

Aaron and Dillion had a great time getting up to lots of mischief.
There was a disco, children's games and an children's entertainer at the party. " Mr Stix`s "

The boys had a wonderful time winding Mr Stix`s up. Mr Stix`s was giving everything stick. The only one he didn't upset was me. As he said " he never new there was such good looking women living in Wales. "
Billy was extremely chuffed by his words putting his arm around me proudly saying " and she`s mine."

At the party there was a lovely buffet lunch which included tikka curry baked potatoes.
Aaron and Dillion ate lots of different things. They had a wonderful time playing together.

The entertainment also including circus tricks and the children were given spinning plates. This was a lot of fun Aaron and I eventually mastered the art of spinning plates. Balloon`s were also made into different types of animails and objects.

The day went far to quickly we went to Billy`s mum`s for a quick cup of tea before heading home.
What a lovely day we had.

Day With My God Children May 09

This week we met up with my friend Helen and my god children Conner and Abbey.
We had our lunch at McDonalds before heading to Whittington
Here we took the children and Fred the dog for a walk before having a quick look around the car boot.
Helen made her way home after the boot fair. Billy and I brought Conner home with us to give Helen a well earned break.
Conner played for a while with me before we headed to school to pick Aaron up. Here he had a great time chasing the bigger boys around the field with the football.
Soon it was time for tea so we headed to our home. After giving Conner his tea we took him back to his mum and dad. It`s great to be able to hand them back at the end and Aaron would defiantly agree.
Saturday we headed out early. We headed to the boot fairs Aaron found lots of items he was looking for, he has an excellent eye for a bargain. Afterwards we went shopping in Oswestry.
What a lovely chilled out day we had.

May Bank Holiday Camping Angelsey

On a sunny then drizzly bank holiday we all headed to Angelsey camping. Fred the Dog came too along with Me, Billy, Aaron and Aaron`s friend Rhys.

We were determined not to let rain stop play. Reaching camp we set up our tent a 4 berth litchfield. Very roomy and comfortable within two minutes the air beds were inflated thanks to the pump now fitted to the camper. So night time is comfortable sleeping under canvas with are warm sleeping bags.

After setting up camp we then made our tea via a camp fire and the camper van stove. After tea Billy and I took Fred for a walk. The boys (Aaron & Rhys) by this time had made a lot of friends and were happily playing football on the field.

Before bed we had a drink in the camp site bar room.

The site was nice with a swimming pool and was sited near Red Wharf Bay on the south east part of the Island.
It was a pleasant stay even though we had a bit of rain. The final day we all helped to dismantle the tent in no time.
During our stay in Angelsey we visited many places which are listed in the blogs below.
After our visit to Penrth castle we headed home stopping off at Betws y coed for a fish and chip supper next to the raging river and rapids. Here are some photographs of our stop.

This spot on the banks of the river hold special memories as we visited here many times when the boys were small I have many photographs of them both sitting on the rocks. Daniel enjoyed watching the water here when he was small he would long to go in for a swim not realising how fast the water was. I had to keep a very close eye on him at all times.

There is a lovely fish and chip shop across the bridge. The chips are really nice here.

Betws y coed is a lovely place there is a mini railway here which again we visited many times when the boys were small. Daniel adored trains and this was one of his favourite days out. I have not ventured near the trains since he died as the memory's for both myself and Aaron would be far to heart breaking knowing how happy and how much Daniel enjoyed his time here. My book tells many tales of the life of Daniel.

Anyway we started our last leg of our journey home dropping Rhys off on the way. It was gone 7 by the time we came in my leg had gone completely and I was struggling to walk. I checked the shop to find I had near 50 parcels to post. So guess what I was doing most of the day Tuesday wrapping up parcels, along with also going to work to run Kids Club and breakfast club too.
What a lovely weekend we had visiting yet again more beautiful places on our travels. Please read blogs below some great photographs on display. You can find more photographs on our on line photo`s
