Hunt for the Wilder People : Film Review

A big warm hug of a film.....

Hunt for the Wilder People is a film that is rather different.

Raised on hip hop and foster care, defiant city kid Ricky played by Julian Dennison gets a fresh start in the New Zealand countyside. He quickly finds himself at home with his new foster family, the loving Aunty Belle and the grumpy Uncle Hec played by Sam Neill and dog Tupac.
When tragedy strikes that threatens to ship Ricky to another home, both he and Hec go on the run in the bush.

As a national manhunt ensues the newly branded outlaws must assess their options either go out in a blaze of glory of overcome their differences and survive as a family.

This is a really funny film in parts. But being a veggie I disliked the killing of animals. It was only a film though .....

I would give this film 7 out of 10. It is worth watching. Its certificate 12. On for 97 minutes.
