Magical Fairytale Castle On Simon`s Birthday
A Lovely Winter Afternoon saw Simon and I heading out for his birthday for lunch at Powis Castle Nr Welshpool. We had a lovely time taking in the views of this surrounding castle. It was a magical experience.
The castle this year as opened its doors for the first time during the winter. This is a wonderful idea so everyone can enjoy the sights sounds and all that the four season can offer. Winter time can be a beautiful time of year with hard frosts that can turn any garden into a magical winter wonderland. I am so pleased this year we will be allowed to see the wonderful garden`s and the magnificent views of Welshpool as it falls into the land of wonder.
Today we sat and watched the deer in the parkland getting up and close to them it was wonderful. The castle was dress for a Victorian Christmas which made the day even more of a treat it was stunning.
The theme for the winter is Nursery Rhymes. Throughout the castle and grounds you can learn the magical tales from Cinderella to The Nut Cracker.
Our main treat for the day was to have a birthday lunch for Simon, The cafe at Powis is lovely and a great place to have a spot of lunch, we really enjoyed the day.
Please support Powis Castle so we can enjoy the delights of the next Winter at the castle with the doors hopefully opening again.
