Every 25 December at sunset our ancestors would relight the Yule log kept from the previous year in a ritual to protect the home. To keep yours safe light a white candle and walk around it slowly while chanting
Circle of fire burning bright
Protect me and mine and bring light
Let the candle fade down outside your front door.
