Aaron & His Dad Our Swim At Welshpool Flash Oct 2008

Today in the afternoon, the boys went swimming at Welshpool Flash. It was a lovely hot Autumn day.They had a great time playing ball.

Both Aaron & his step dad Billy are keen swimmers and both love football, they practiced there header skills across the bar between the two pools. It nice to see Aaron playing happily again after all the trauma in his life over last few years. Once they had enough playing ball they both headed for the long winding slide and the water rapids. Billy then retired to the jacuzzi for a rest. It wasn't long before Aaron had him out again to play ball before it was time to leave.

We all met up in the cafe afterwards for a nice drink. We then had a look around Welshpool before heading home.

Welshpool is a lovely Shropshire / Welsh boarder town with a range of old buildings, an old light railway, Powis Castle & some interesting shops. Welshpool is surrounded by pretty countryside. Worth a visit if your in the area here is a link for info on the town http://www.welshpool.org/

Billy and Aaron had a nice afternoon. They get on so well. They both enjoy doing activities together from playing football, swimming, walking, playing chess, crosswords, games and puzzles to entering competitions together. Billy adores Aaron buys him treats and pays for him when were out. On way home last night Billy's train was held up, making Billy late home. Billy rang us a few times to let us no what was happening. Aaron kept saying when are you coming home Billy hates letting Aaron down, it was no fault of his own. Aaron had to go to bed before Billy got in, but still he went up to Aaron's room to give him a goodnight kiss. He is getting off early tonight to make it up to him. A Blonde Moment - Thanks Pat

A blonde teenager, wanting to earn some extra money for the summer, decided to hire herself out as a'handy-woman' and started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighbourhood.

She went to the front door of the first house, and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do.

'Well, I guess I could use somebody to paint my porch,' he said,

'How much will you charge me?'

Delighted, the girl quickly responded, 'How about $50?'The man agreed and told her that the paint brushes and everything she would need was in the garage.

The man's wife, hearing the conversation said to her husband, 'Does she realize that our porch goes ALL the way around the house?'

He responded, 'That's a bit cynical, isn't it?'

The wife replied, 'You're right. I guess I'm starting to believe all those dumb blonde jokes we've been getting by e-mail lately.

'Later that day, the blonde came to the door to collect her money. 'You're finished already?' the startled husband asked.

'Yes, the blonde replied, and I even had paint left over, so I gave it two coats.'Impressed, the man reached into his pocket for the $50.00 and handed it to her along with a ten dollar tip.'

And by the way, ' the blonde added, 'it's not a Porch, it's a Lexus.

Budapest Hungary October 2008

We travelled down to London on a lovely autumn day along the A roads avoiding the motorway all the way. We stopped off at various places, taking in the autumn sunshine. On reaching south London we took a short journey up the motorway to the hotel near to Gatwick Airport.

It wasn't a tiring journey so we booked into the hotel and seek ed out the swimming pool facilities, along with the sauna and the jacuzzi. We had a great time swimming and amongst the bubbles in the jacuzzi before heading off to the hotel bar for a night cap.

It was an early morning start as we headed to Gatwick Airport. After parking our car we check in for our flight. It wasn't long before we were boarding and taking off. The flight took just over 2 hrs.

We walked through passport control in Hungary and jumped into a taxi which took us to our hotel. The hotel was situated on the banks of the Danube. Hotel Danubius Health Resort Helia http://danubiushotels.com/en/hungary-hotels

The hotel was a beautiful. The health spa facilities were fantastic swimming pools, jacuzzi. steam rooms & sauna. There were also a wide range of treatment from dental to relaxing massages. We had a penthouse suite on the top floor. The views were lovely from the balcony. Most of the views were of the Buda Side of Budapest. At night the city looked magnificent the boats along the river lite up.

The city was very big a lot bigger than we expected. The sad bit was seeing people on the streets begging for money. Budapest is certainly a city of UN rest but also a spectacular city with its history and magnificent buildings dating back many years. Above are photos of the hotel and taken from our hotel balcony. Around The City Of Budapest Oct 2008

The best way to get around and see all the sights was by Hop On Hop Off bus. The big red bus took us all around the city which commentary in many languages. We got on on the Pest side and travelled around. We stopped off at Jozsef Nador Square, the Jewish Synagogue, Madach Square, Erzsebet Square, Andrassy Street, Liszt Ferenc Square, Hungarian Parliment Building ( this building was spectacular ). On the Buda Side we stopped at Buda castle yet another fantastic old building. One of the last stops was Citadella from here you could see near the whole of the city. The views were magnificent. River Danube Boat Trip Oct 2008

We took a fabulous boat trip up and down the banks of the River Danube, taking in the spectacular views of the city on either side of the river along its banks. The river starts in the Black Forest in Germany and flows through many countries before entering the Black Sea. The river is fed by the snow capped mountains of Switzerland and can raise to frightening levels as the mountain snow melts during the spring and summer months. The river at Budapest separates Buda from Pest. There are splendid views of the old and new buildings all along the river banks. There are many boats along the river including floating hotels which cruise along the river from country to country.

WHEN GIRLS DRINK TOO MUCH............

1. WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHERE OUR PURSE IS.

2. WE BELIEVE THAT DANCING WITH OUR ARMS OVERHEAD AND WIGGLING OUR BUTT WHILE YELLING 'WOO-HOO!' IS TRULY THE SEXIEST DANCE MOVE AROUND.

3. WE'VE SUDDENLY DECIDED THAT WE WANT TO KICK SOMEONE'S BUTT AND HONESTLY BELIEVE WE COULD DO IT TOO.

4. IN OUR LAST TRIP TO PEE, WE REALIZE THAT WE NOW LOOK MORE LIKE A HOMELESS HOOKER THAN THE GODDESS WE WERE JUST FOUR HOURS AGO.

5. WE START CRYING AND TELLING EVERYONE WE SEE THAT WE LOVE THEM SOOOOO MUCH.

6. WE GET EXTREMELY EXCITED AND JUMP UP AND DOWN EVERY TIME A NEW SONG PLAY'S BECAUSE 'OH MY GOD! I LOVE THIS SONG!'

7. WE'VE FOUND A DEEPER/SPIRITUAL SIDE TO THE GEEK SITTING NEXT TO US.

8. WE'VE SUDDENLY TAKEN UP SMOKING AND BECOME REALLY GOOD AT IT.

9. WE YELL AT THE BARTENDER, WHO WE BELIEVE CHEAT US BY GIVING US JUST LEMONADE, BUT THAT'S JUST BECAUSE WE CAN NO LONGER TASTE THE CHARDONNAY.

10. WE THINK WE ARE IN BED, BUT OUR PILLOW FEELS STRANGELY LIKE THE KITCHEN FLOOR (or the mop ...OR THE BATHMAT ?)

11. WE FAIL TO NOTICE THAT THE TOILET LID'S DOWN WHEN WE SIT ON IT.

12. WE TAKE OUR SHOES OFF BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IT'S THEIR FAULT THAT WE'RE HAVING PROBLEMS WALKING STRAIGHT.

SEND THIS ALONG TO ALL THE GIRLS YOU KNOW WHO LIKE TO HAVE FUN. MAKE THEM LAUGH AT THEMSELVES LIKE YOU PROBABLY DID....SADLY, MANY ARE TRUE!
