Aillwee Cave @ The Burren

This was a lovely place to visit Aillwee Cave sits in the area of County Clare called the Burren. The Burren is a place of wonder, beauty and discovery. The Burren is on the west coast of Southern Ireland.
The cave I really enjoyed we strolled through the caves which was the home of the now extinct Brown Bear many many years ago. The bears used to sleep hibernate there during the long harsh winters. Bones were found and are still there to this day.
We walked through the beautiful caverns, over bridged chasms, under weird formations and along side a thunderous waterfall. We did get a little wet at this point.  The cave was beautiful only found when a Sheppard`s  dog went down a rabbit hole and the sheppard went to look for him in the dark. The caverns were then found
I will be writing a history blog on the coffee stop blog about the brown bears I found this fascinating.
