We had a lovely surprise awaited Nana today. Early this morning we took Nana on a surprise visit. David Dickinson and his Real Deal team were filming in Oswestry. Real Deal is a programme Nana is very keen on. She watches it most afternoons. She loves David Dickinson.
Her face lit up when she realised what was happening. We were on the TV set of the popular ITV programme about antiques.
It did not take long before before we bumped in to the man himself, David Dickinson. He was very smartly dressed and a lot taller than he looks on TV. He was happy to stop and chat to my 82 year old mum and Aaron precious Nana. She got his autograph and had her photo taken with him. She was over the moon.
Nana is unable to stay on her feet long so we took her to the viewing gallery so she could sit and watch what was happening from above.
It was a really interesting morning out watching how the programme is made. The programme itself is said to be screened sometime after October this year. Whilst writing this blog I would like to say a big Thank You to David Dickinson and the Real Deal team ( especially Hannah ) for making an old lady smile ! :-) X
