Hawkstone Park International Motocross

Sunday saw us having a wonderful day out at Hawkstone Park. Here we watched the International Motocross.
We got up close and personal to the bikes as they raced around the track.

Aaron had a great time, really enjoying the day out. Below he is pictured with Jack, Simon`s step son.

The start of the race was extremely noisy. We watched the race from many different parts of the track, getting some fab photograph`s

This part of the track we got covered in soil from the dirt bikes. It was amazing were the soil got !

We climbed part way up the hill, which overlooked the the motocross circuit. Simon, Nathan and myself sat half way up. Jake and Aaron went right to the top. From this part the views were amazing.

The sand pits was a good place to watch the races. Unfortunately a rider came off and had to be air lifted by helicopter to hospital. Alun from hope house was the St John`s ambulance driver so we found out he had suffered internal injuries.

We followed the above rider most of the day. All in green he leap through the air on his motocross bike doing some impressive jumps.

The day brought back memories for Simon. Simon is a keen biker along with his Dad. Simon`s dad was motorbike mad. They both spent many years marshaling at Hawkstone Park.

Hawkstone park is a recommened day out full of thrills and spills. Perfect !!!!!!
